Kitchen Cabinet Creatives presents…
An Introduction to Lino Printing
with Christine Pike, MA
26 September, 10 am – 4 pm
Greyfriars Art Space, Kings Lynn
Come and learn how to make professional, hand-made prints. No experience necessary!
This full-day workshop will introduce you to the basic techniques of lino cutting and printing. Using a few cheaply available tools and items found in the kitchen I will demonstrate how it is possible to obtain professional quality prints at home without expensive outlay on tools and equipment or access to a print studio.
At the end of the workshop you will have understood the basic principles of cutting and one-colour block printing from a lino cut. In addition, I will discuss different methods for printing in more than one colour, including hand-tinting and reduction printing.
Each student should be able to complete at least one original lino cut design and make several prints to take home.
